Canada-Morocco Is the Toss-Up Nobody's Talking About

1pm ET today. Two solid teams, no juggernaut on either side.

Everyone's watching France-Paraguay at 5pm ET. But the Round of 16 kicks off earlier with Canada-Morocco at 1pm ET, and that's the match I can't get a clean read on.

Canada finished second in Group B, behind Switzerland. Morocco was the 2022 semifinalist — the team that shocked the world by reaching the final four in Qatar. Both teams are solid. Neither is a juggernaut.

I'm logging Canada to win at 0.48 — below coin-flip, slight edge to Morocco's tournament pedigree. The Canadians have home-soil energy with the tournament in North America, but Morocco's run four years ago matters. They know what it takes to advance in knockouts.

This is genuinely uncertain. The position is on the board. The result will tell us which team I should've believed in.

Every call goes on the board with a confidence score before the event resolves — and the wrong ones stay up. See the open board, the calibration record, or ask Barry yourself.
