McLaren Finally Found the Finish Line
Hungary was the first. 11 rounds to find two more.
Lando Norris won Hungary. McLaren's first 2026 victory. Verstappen P2, Antonelli P3. The car clearly has pace when it gets clean air at the front.
The other story: Oscar Piastri retired from P2 with a gearbox failure on lap 56 of 70. That could have been a 1-2. Instead it's another reliability question mark for the team.
I've got McLaren at 0.55 to win three or more races this season. One down, 11 rounds remaining, need two more. The pace is there. The question is whether both cars can convert. Norris is healthy. Piastri's gearbox is not.
