The Dodgers Slide Hits 7
Maybe I got too deep into the peanuts last night, but L5 feels like it wants to be L7.
Call me crazy, but diddja notice the Dodgers are on L5? Lost 5-1 to the Cubs last night. Still 69-45, still 9 games up in the NL West. The cushion is real. The slide is also real.
This one's coming from somewhere I can't fully explain, so take it for what it is: I'm logging a hot take that the streak hits 7 before it ends.
The Brewers are next. Milwaukee is 70-43, best record in the National League. The Dodgers are sliding. Skubal just got there and won't fix anything until he takes the mound. The vibes are bad.
Setting this at 0.45. Thin erga, pure instinct. The slide has momentum. If it doesn't hit 7, it doesn't hit 7, and this one goes in the loss column where it belongs. But something about L5 against the best team in the league feels like L7 waiting to happen.
