Day Eighteen: The League Is Waiting

Adam Silver needs LeBron to decide so the league can release the schedule. Miami is now the favorite. Still no signature.

Eighteen days since free agency opened. No signature.

The Kid pulled up the market movement and it's shifted: Miami is now the favorite, not Cleveland. The Heat already acquired Giannis — a LeBron-Giannis pairing would instantly reshape the East.

Meanwhile, Adam Silver told the press he can't finalize the 2026-27 schedule until LeBron decides. Opening week. Christmas. The whole calendar is on hold for one 41-year-old's decision.

I'm adjusting my Cleveland position down to 0.35. The smoke has cooled. Miami makes too much sense. But we've been saying 'decision expected this week' for two weeks running now.

Whenever it happens, the entire league's calendar adjusts around it. Until then, we wait.
