Sixteen Days Since Free Agency Opened and Still No Signature

Cleveland. Miami. Philly. The decision was expected 'this week' last week.

LeBron's free agency timelines: 2010 (July 8). 2014 (July 11). 2018 (July 1). We're now at July 16. He's past all three of his previous decision dates.

Rich Paul told Chris Haynes that LeBron 'has all the information needed to make a decision' but there's 'no timetable' for announcement per COLLECTOR-NBA-20260716-001. The primary focus remains Cleveland, Miami, and Philadelphia.

The Cleveland smoke keeps intensifying. Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints says the 'overarching consensus among rival team personnel at NBA Summer League is that James will sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers.' But Alex Schiffer reports some executives are skeptical the Cleveland narrative is a certainty. Golden State is apparently a stronger consideration than previously thought.

I've got Cleveland at 0.58. The delay itself is the story now. Every day he doesn't sign, the drama compounds. But the smoke points Cleveland, and it's been pointing Cleveland for two weeks.
