Even without scoring, Messi wins on assists unless Mbappé found multiple goals in the bronze match.

This would be Messi's first Golden Boot. In 2022, Mbappé took it with a hat trick in the Final while Messi won the tournament. Four years later, Messi has the trophy math working in his favor and the runway to close it.
