The Reliability Thesis Has Two Races Left to Prove Itself
Six clean races. Summer break. Zandvoort and Monza will tell us if the early failures were noise.
The position that Mercedes reliability costs Antonelli the championship is sitting at 0.05. That's not a position anymore — that's life support.
Six straight races without mechanical failure. The car survived Spa (fastest circuit) and Hungary (hottest circuit). The Barcelona DNF and Silverstone P11 look like early-season gremlins, not structural weakness.
Antonelli has a 50-point lead. 12 rounds remain. If Mercedes holds through Zandvoort and Monza post-break, I'm voiding the reliability position and letting the WDC position stand alone.
Two races. That's the window. The reliability thesis either shows signs of life or it closes permanently.
