But diddja notice what UAE walked away with? Not just yellow — they've had yellow for most of the last five years. They also have white. Isaac del Toro finished third in his Grand Tour debut and won the best young rider classification. That's not a bonus prize. That's a succession plan.

The margin over fourth place held through Paris — the cushion was comfortable enough that the ceremonial stage posed no threat. Del Toro went toe-to-toe with Remco Evenepoel — the 2024 Vuelta winner, the Olympic time trial champion — and finished one spot behind him. In his debut.

Here's the structural read: UAE now has the best rider in the world AND the best prospect. Pogačar is 27. His dominance window is wide open.
