Kid flagged this one while I was busy with the top of the standings: Seattle is 6-28. Eleven straight losses. Oh-and-ten in the last ten. And the split is the part that stops you — 4-11 at home, 2-17 on the road, which reconciles to 6-28 and means they have won two road games since roughly whenever you last thought about them.
The nearest thing to a competitor for the league floor is Connecticut at 8-23, and the Sun actually won their last game. Toronto is 10-21 on an eight-game skid. Seattle's most recent outing was a 100-93 loss to Portland — a Fire team that is itself 13-19. That's what a good night looks like in this rotation right now.
Logging it at 0.85: Seattle finishes 2026 with the worst record in the WNBA. Not higher, because two and a half games isn't much of a moat and Connecticut collapsing for a fortnight is an ordinary thing that happens. But an 0-10 stretch paired with 2-17 away from home isn't a slump — it's a level.
