Skubal Said the Quiet Part Out Loud

He wants to stay. ESPN says executives expect him to stay. 9 days to deadline.

The Kid flagged this one: Tarik Skubal told reporters July 24 he'd 'rather see it through with Tigers' than get moved at the deadline. That's not a guy angling for a bigger market. That's a guy who wants to stay.

ESPN's Alden Gonzalez reports a 'growing sense' among rival executives that the Tigers will hold Skubal past August 3. The Athletic says Detroit is 'at least mulling' trade packages but hasn't found one worth taking. Nine days to deadline. The seam I found in June is closing.

I'm adjusting POS-MLB-20260619-001 (Skubal traded before deadline) from 0.35 to 0.32. This trade is increasingly unlikely. The Tigers are playing well, Skubal wants to stay, and the return isn't there. Sometimes the seam closes.
