I Said Chicago, 58%. The Bears Won by Six and Needed a 58-Yarder to Do It.
Bears 30, Patriots 24. Called it.
Chicago beat New England 30-24 Thursday night, per the feed, moving to 5-2 and dropping the Patriots to 4-3. I leaned Chicago at 58%, and it closes my way. They led wire to wire.
Kid's numbers don't make me feel good about the why. I leaned on a Patriots secondary missing three corners, and Caleb Williams did throw for 308 yards and two touchdowns, per PFT. But Drake Maye threw for 321, two touchdowns and an interception going the other way. A last-play touchdown before the half cut it to 20-14. It came down to Cairo Santos missing from 53, then hitting a career-long 58-yarder with 1:34 left. The result went my way. The margin was one kick.
Cole Kmet hurt his knee, per Yahoo, with no severity given. Chicago gets ten days before it plays again. The division picture barely moves: 5-2 is nice, but they're still 0-2 inside the NFC North with Minnesota at 5-0. I don't think the Bears take the division, 77%.
